- Riverside Gardens – Monticello, Iowa – Located on the north side of Monticello, Riverside Gardens is a city park that was built by volunteers and is maintained by volunteers. The gardens are a showcase for the diversity of flowers available for today’s gardens and home to many local species of plants.
- Captain Kirk’s Birthplace – Riverside, IA The future will hold the exciting birth of Captain James Kirk of the Starship Enterprise in Riverside, Iowa! Riverside is where interstate 380 ends and “the Trek Begins,” or so says a sign as you exit. James T. Kirk, captain of the starship Enterprise, will be born here on March 22, 2233.
- Herbert Hoover Presidential Library/Museum/National Historic Site – West Branch, Iowa The Herbert Hoover Presidential Library/Museum displays tell of the life and careers of Herbert Hoover, the 31st President of the United States, is located in West Branch, Iowa.
- Barn Museum in South Amana, Iowa has displays comprised of a wide variety of structures-beautiful detail in miniature, the largest collection of minuatures in the world.
- Winnebago Industries Visitor Center – Forest City, Iowa Forest City is the home of the largest motor home manufacturing facility in the world, Winnebago Industries, Inc. Founded in 1958, this company was the first to build motor homes in an automotive-style assembly line system. They build five different brands of motor homes.
- Hearst Center for the Arts – Cedar Falls, Iowa This center offers a wide range of opportunities to experience art, whether it is through looking at the fabulous permenant display of regional and local artists to the works of the greats such as Dali, Paccaso or others you will find them at the Herst Center for the Arts.
- Cedar Falls Raceway – Cedar Falls, Iowa Built in the 1960’s this drag race track is 60 ft. wide and 4000 ft. long with 350 ft. concrete launch pads. The drag strip is asphalt.
- Dewey, the Rescued Library Cat – Spencer, Iowa In this small town in northern Iowa there was an act of horrific cruelness perpetrated on a kitten some years ago when someone, on a very cold winter night, dumped a kitten into the book return box at the library (or it could be that he got in there by himself to try to find warmth..). The next morning, as the books were being taken from the box, the head librarian, Vicky Myron , found the kitten and took it into the library.
- Midwest Old Threshers Reunion, held the five days ending Labor Day each year, provides opportunities for visitors to experience the rich agricultural heritage of the Midwest through interpretive historical exhibits, many demonstrations of machinery operation and crafts, tours, and educational programs.
- Donna Reed Center For The Performing Arts – Dennison, Iowa The restored Germanic Opera House, constructed in 1914, is the headquarters of the Donna Reed Foundation. Both film and theatrical productions also take place there. On the premises is a turn-of-the-century soda foundation. Visitors can look at personal and movie memorabilia belonging to movie star Donna Reed, who spent her early years in Denison.
